Ocean Imaging produced a poster that is almost exactly what you described. It is an aerial image with a resolution of a few feet, combined with a bathymetry image that delineates the canyons using shading. The kelp beds in La Jolla are clearly visible in the image (must have been little current at the time of acquisition). I keep a special copy of the poster in my office.
