Why are sport divers liited to 7 Lobsters a day, when Commercial Fisherman can work unlimited numbers of traps, catch unlimted numbers of Lobsters and make unlimited amounts of money? Catching Lobsters by hand is much more difficult and self limiting, by time, air and ability. Like the past Abalone inequity in Southern Calif, Why do we allow the DFG to favor one group over another concerning a natural resource that belongsto everyone equally? Divers dont sell their catch to other countries, so why should we suffer to the gain of others? If the fisherman go out of business, then it's just likethe buggy whip makers. they move on. I dont believe divers can kill a population to the extent that commercial guys can. Lets make things more equal. Limit everone who uses the resource or limit noody!
