I was just up to Ft. Bragg last Friday and stopped into Sub Surface Progression dive shop. Payed a visit to Kenny and the rest.
They've had winter come in and hit them like a ton of bricks!
Not much business to be had.
My point?
If you live up in this area and need some dive gear of any kind go up there and spend your money. We need them to stay in business or there will not be anywhere to get fills or gear when we are enjoying the North Coast. The closest place to get anything then would be Santa Rosa.
They have all kinds of cool unique dive gear for regular diving (scuba and free) some commercial gear for the urchin guys, and vintage gear all to be had at great prices. I've run across stuff there that I have never seen at anyother dive shop. They also love for people to hang out and talk about diving unlike so many shops that just want your money and then want you out.
So, go up there, make a day out of it. Stop into one of the many wineries on the way and have lunch at any of the great restaurants on the wharf, and buy lots of gear at the dive shop!
