If you want a less expensive HID, take a look at the Underwater Kinetics Light Cannon. It will blow away the other hand held lights at a price of about 160 bucks. If you are looking for Artificial Sun type lighting, then the 18W Halcyon, or Dive Rite Lights will certainly blind anyone you choose to point that bad boy at. there is also a 10W model if you don't feel the need to carry a laser on your wrist. They run between 650 and 1200 bucks.
