I would definitely recommend Scuba Toys in Orange County. My daughter and I took a private certification class from Tim for $200 each last year. This included the classes, pool work and the beach dives. Our personal equipment was about $250 each, and then we had to pay for a boat trip to Catalina. Tim was a great instructor, who took the time to point out things for you to see, so that you enjoyed the dives. Scuba Toys is at 714-527-0430. It is in Cypress, at Valley View and Orange.
