That is one of the points...recognize that the harbor does need to be dredged, but do it so that the areas near Vet's park aren't decimated. That's where Surfrider's experts can help in defining a more ecologically sensitive alternative...and the City has a budget for it. Another tactic is education of the City Council...do they even know what creatures rely on the beach and shore at Redondo?
