I remember seeing three 5-footers and 8 or so good sized blues in 1998 after chumming for less than an hour. Same trip saw plentiful horn sharks - I don't see them with the frequency I used to nor as large. Wonderful trip with the old Hydrosphere operation...really miss them.
Last Fall I started seeing quite a few baby horn sharks at Redondo Beach...that's why I want to save that part of the beach from deposition of harbor dredge material - don't want to see those animals harmed because they are becomming rare.
