Its not hard at all to brew your own Nitrox, but it does take some doing to put it all together. Starting with Vance's book is a great idea, it will take all the voodoo black magic out of blending. You're next step is to take a gas blender course. TDI has a good one, even PADI's new blender course is good. Then its time to open your wallet, cause if you truly want to blend your own gas, you'll need a lot of stuff.
I started by just doing partial pressure blending. I added the oxygen and topped at the Dive Shop. Now I have my own compressor, I'm self sufficient, but it cost me a lot. Its definately worth it, just be prepared to spend big bucks!
