I have been there.
The diving is OK. The water is very warm and clear. There is a great deal of small fish, but not many large ones. There are lots of sponges, with many things living in them.
The diving in front of the resort can be nice. During the day they take you out in a boat, and you swim back. At night they leave tanks for you in a gazebo, but you must arrange for it ahead of time. The DMs we had were a bit anal and overly controlling, thus the dives in front without them were much nicer.
The island is just dirt poor.
Service was OK. The food is buffet style and OK.
The rooms are basic but clean. The no-see-ums make hanging out outside unpleasant unless you have plenty of repellent.
I would go once, but not again. If you get a very good deal (including airfare it is worth doing once).
