The mac has always been a great choice for multimedia. But now that most of your computer time is spent surfing and emailing, the mac is even a better choice. No viruses, no adware, no spyware. None.
so you are right not to care about the price, and the G5 does rock, but I am pretty damn happy with my 17" powerbook. It's a big screen and I can play with pictures anywhere.
