I was reading a thread on another board about number of dives per year. Some were counting their dives with students that were basically bounce dives to me. If I had counted all my 5-10 minute dives with OW students or three minute anchor retrievals I would have reached 1,000 years ago. I prefer quality over quantity. A couple weeks ago I had to retrieve RossO's anchor after our second dive. Knowing I was approaching #1000, he jokingly asked me if I was counting that as the third dive. What I do in those situations is add the 3-5 minutes of bottom time to my second dive, especially if I've been out of the water for less than one hour. Oh, and that one time Ross dropped a Jetfin at Ship Rock...:-)
