Eric, your words, not mine. Though there are a few more challenges on the North Coast I enjoy the abundance and diversity, and try to get up there as often as possible (also to pickup a couple of abs). A couple of areas around Caspar have been favorites for a long time, and the diving at Punta Gorda, when you can get there, is truely awesome. Crescent City has some spots to reccomend it as well. I realize the reason these places are so good is precisely because there are challenges that put off a good many divers. And of course, timing is everything.

Actually, the only crappy part of it is that the local constabulary does its best to make up its budget shortfalls through "speeding tickets". A $243 "speeding" ticket for 59 mph in a 55mph zone - not even Irvine or Culver City cops do that!

Sigh!

Stay wet.
