Based on your description, we can't wait to dive Fort Ross (our comment, a very happy, collective: WHHOOOAAA!) ... and the Sea Ranch! Assume the water temp is in the high 40's?

Do you have an update on Elk?
There is a pier and boat launch at Arena Cove - looked interesting for a shore dive if the conditions were flatter than when we were there (pounding that weekend form a storm) ....any report on this site's possibilities? Is this where Arena Rock is? I've seen Sea Lion rocks on the topo map - they are a little further north.
We also remember seeing an air fill / dive shop at Point Arena when we visited there in early December...didn't look open, but a lot of businesses were closed for the season. Any experience with it?
