Weights aren't necessarily integrated. I dive a
Halcyon Backplate with a single tank and a
weightbelt. Wonderful BC, and not just for cave and
wreck diving. Good trim and very low swim
resistance.
I know a bunch of folks who have switched from the
Zeagle Ranger to the a backplate and wing, and not
one would go back.
