I have tried sea cucumber (sea kukunberu) in
restaurants in JPN... twice.
My first experience was rather "raw" in nature.
Not a pleasant experience since it was nearly raw
itself as part of a sushi luncheon.
My second time was when it was prepared steamed
and then simmered in a miso stew. It was better,
but I would still pass on it after giving it two
tries.
Good idea Walt, a special ingredient in your
omelet next time... mmmmmmmmm-tasty!
