I was in San Diego and I saw the effect of the sinking of the Yukon on the local dive industry. It was incredible. The boats pretty much doubled. The diving is both beautiful and fascinating. Think of swimming through a wreck that has the colors found at Begg Rock and the Rigs.
Could you imagine having some wrecks at Catalina in the amazingly clear waters. How about some off of Palos Verdes and East so that it could be half day boats to some fun diving.
Like I said last time, this could be comercialized. If you had it in the water clarity common on the frontside of catalina, you could have scuba events that were televised. How about scooter races or treasure hunting teams in the wrecks. I'll meet you at the ScubaPro Boey that's tied up from the stern rail of the new carrier they sank out there.
Enjoy the diving, seahunt
