I've posted another installment of the New Diver's log at
www.francisquito.org; follow the link to the "Water Planet" page. This log entry (with a few accompanying photos) describes a series of dives done as part of PADI-sanctioned course for (generally) newer divers, which included deep (no-deco) diving, underwater navigation, night diving, wreckexploration (without entry), and basic underwater photography.

Several aspects of these dives may be of interest to those who are familiar with diving at Avalon: access difficulty due to a landslide on the main road linking Avalon with the dive entry area; the singular experience of being the only divers in the water on a warm, sunny Friday afternoon; water conditions following one of the heaviest rainfall episodes in So.California history; a dive to the Valiant wreck.

Best regards to all.
