I don't know how far back the CGs online database goes, but they did pull back hulls - in the mid to late 70s if I recall correctly.
Then again it might be an urban legend, in which case I guess I didn't do any diving from a brand, spanking new 17' Whaler back then (it was the second Whaler I helped outfit for the same buddy within seven months). I'll need to tell John (if I can find him) and his attorney that they never settled with the Boston Whaler dealer and company. He'll be so disappointed.
Guess I must be losing it - maybe the mind is the first thing to go. I keep forgetting.
