I have an SE2 as well. It does not work as well as the older model Conshelf second stages. It does not breath as nicely as the older Conshelf models. Also it requires tools to disassemble if you need to clean out sand. The diaphragm cover of Conshelf 21 just unscrews without tools.
I have four HP80s all of which I picked up used. They are much easier on my back than even my steel 72s. However I do know people that beach dive with Al 40 pony tanks.
