The old USDivers equipment is great; why they keep changing it is beyond me (well, not really, but it would be nice to keep the best). I think I'll keep my eye out for a used Conshelf 21. I have a Sea4 which I have had no problems with - thanks to great maintenance at West Coast, it breathes smoothely at all depths. Just don't want to trash it with beach diving.
As for the HP80's - totally agree! Graduated to them last year and wonder why we haven't used them all along...
