The nice thing about Dow 111 is that it's made to
lubricate water valves and it does not wash off.
I do the threads about every six months. And I have
for some of the maintenance on my Draeger rebreather.
It's not terribly expensive - $10 gets a huge tube.
Note: I don't use it on O-rings. I use Nikonos grease
on Nikonos O-rings.
