Saturday we were sitting in our boat getting ready to pull out of the breakwater harbor when we saw fire and ambulance coming down the hill into the parking lot.
They went down to the dock where the dive boats are moored.
Earlier we saw USCG split in their inflatable and head south.
A few minutes later the Escapade came around the corner and came in hot. She threw a good wake in her haste. No divers on board except for the injured diver and USCG personnel.
Turns out the BAUE DIR guys chartered the boat and were down south somewhere doing a 200' dive. While approaching a 70' stop one of the divers' inflator stuck wide open shooting the him to the surface. The victim was going numb from the chest down. They wisked him to the chamber. Last I heard the diver was alright but complained of feeling cold from the chest down
All this is second hand info to me and I'm sorry I don't have a name.
I hate hearing stuff like this.
Maybe somebody has more info?
