Lobos. The BAUE website has a trip report from
Saturday morning trip on Escapade to the Mile Buoy.
I suspect that's where it happened.

You couldn't have seen the CG head SOUTH. They
can't head south until they get to Pt. Pinos. Out
of the harbor and turn left is NW. And that CG
boat's not an inflatable, the "tubes" are hard foam.
