The only reason we hear about these cases is because they are an aberration.
We live in a country where the major medical institutions admit that upwards of 100,000 people die each year due to medical malpractice, yet this administration's solution is to LIMIT damages to the aggrieved. Why not declare war against malpractice rather than a legal grant of impunity for the guilty???? How can we expect to trend malpractice downward if malpractice becomes nothing more than a cost of doing buisness as usual?
