As I said,noone is arguing the fact that he should not have been left. You're bring up scenarios that did not happen such as what if he was injured, etc. I judge Dan's actions by his own statements. He made no attempt to swim to the boat because he figured they would come after him when they noticed him missing. That lack of self-reliance is bad enough, but to then go on a media biltz blaming everyone else and never once admitting any blame made me lose any sympathy for him. When he decided to sue it upset me that he will likely walk away from this with several hundred thousand after taxes, court fees and attorneys' share as well as possibly causing charter rates to go even higher. When I'm in the water, I am responsible for my own safety, my actions and for following the dive briefing.
