The outcome would have in all likely hood been the same even if the DM had reported him missing, which he should have.
Drifting Dan the Dumb As# would have still been adrift no matter if he would have been reported missing...
Would he have been found sooner...MAYBE...who knows.
Had he never have gotten on the boat or at the very least jumped off of the boat to do a dive he was and KNEW he was not qualified to do in the first place...he would have never been in the position he was in...
However, HE USED POOR JUDGMENT, HIS OWN POOR JUDGEMENT and tried to the dive...then when he screwed up...HE USED POOR JUDGEMENT again by not even trying to help himself. How STUPID to you have to be to not notice that you've drifted from the boat when you suface and SEE that you have to not understand that if you DO NOTHING you are going to drift further...
But in any event he USE POOR JUDGEMENT going on the trip in the first place...had he not nothing would have happend to him...
DRIFTING DAN the DUMB AS* share most of the responsiblilty for what happend to him...WHY...
simply because HE USED POOR JUDGEMENT...
