If my memory serves me right (and keep in mind it may not) In an early interview Drifting Dan described his diving experience as:
AOW, with 24 lifetime dives. He also stated he tries to dive once a month...and that this was his first dive in 3 months...
Now that may or may not be the facts and may or may not be filtered and/or altered by the news meadia reporting or my bad memory. But for what it is worth that is my memory of the story.
