Marine science is a young field where there are still more questions than answers. Here is a place where we know development is going to occur. The only way to know if anything is changed by that development is to know what the baseline was. Even if changes do occur it is very hard to establish what the cause of the change was. It is grist for the scientific mill to help people make informed choices in the future. In this case, divers who are familiar with the area have more information about what is there than anyone else and can be an extremely valuable resource.
