Not sure if you Southern Calif folks are interested in a Northern Calif dive report, but just in case, here goes. This is my abbreviated format, without photos. Info only.
The vis in Carmel and Monterey Bay(s) has cleared so that it is now at least 50 ft. Water temps are in the low 50 or high 40s depending on your depth and location. I dove with a tech charter today, and we experienced mild to moderate swell and surge. Below 20 ft the surge was virtually nonexistent, so that is where we finished our deco at. The entire weekend was great for diving, with Saturday being better, but Sunday ok too. All the usual beauty, arrays of colorful anemones, and schools of fish. The nice thing about TMX 20/40 for diving in the range of 100 to 180 ft is that you can remember everything and your thinking is very clear. And TMX 20/40 off-gasses slightly more efficiently than 21 does (4% better).
