I don't know. It could have just been my lucky day. I found that the Suunto frequently put me into deco for doing slow ascents, and rewarded me with no deco for going faster than I thought that I should towards 20 feet. The Suunto was much more slow ascent friendly when set for nitrox than when it was in air mode. In nitrox mode it would give me extra no decompression time for moving slowly. My biological computer never liked the way it acted in air mmode. The Uwatec and my brain are more in agreement when it comes to how slowly I should make the entire ascent. The Uwatec seems to recognize that I'm moving in the right direction and pats me on the back with a "good girl - here is some extra time to do it" with algorithm. Deeper stops pissed off the Suunto.
