For this type of offense, I think it would be inportant to have these boys spend time learning how to care for and train animals under professional supervision (like helping Guide Dogs for the Blind or the local animal rescue group). Putting them in lock-up will only train them to be better criminals; cleaning the beach has virtually nothing to do with the crime and 150 hours is NOTHING. They need to learn to care for God's creatures (or they will move on to harm higher animals).
