A few months after the disaster, I went on the Sun Dancer. Peter Hughes used the Sun Dancer to temporarily replace the Wave Dancer on the Belize Run. It just so happened that Capt. Jerry Schnabel who had been the captain on the neighboring Belize Aggressor during the Belize hurricane was also on my trip.
Jerry said that he helped in the aftermath of the capsize and he was still pretty shaken up from it all. It was interesting that he didn't really point a finger at anyone. It was aparently a very horrible storm.
