i really don't understand your point, or perhaps you didn't understand mine.

Even when i fished, i didn't have a problem with sea lions. if they were around, i would simply move to a different area or put up the gear for a while.

i agree that they rarely ever bite anyone, and on those extremely rare occasions when they do, they are probably sick..
