Images from the Aquarium of the Pacific |

The Los Angeles Underwater Photography Society was invited to join the Honda Photography Club at the Long Beach Aquarium of the Pacific last night. Althought, taking pictures at an aquarium may sound easy, it isn't! The AOP allows flash photography in all but a few exhibits (leafy and weedy seadragons in particular). The trick with a flash to to shoot from an angle to avoid reflection off the glass. For non-flash photos, I used program mode and held the camera up against the glass for long exposures. Here are a few of my more successful images:
