7mm wet suit, undervest, a few lbs of post middle-age fat (the guy is 57).

Remember that ab-diving is shallow diving mostly. That requires more weight as the wetsuit doesn't reach the depth where significant compression occurs.

Another reminder to dump the weight belt. Dump the weight belt people.
