I used 700 feet of line to mark the way out there. I had about 70-80 feet extra, but the shallow end of the line is about 100 feet offshore. If my math is correct that would place the platform about 720-730 feet out. Either way, it's a fun 7 or 8 minute swim underwater of a much longer surface swim.
