My condolences. Trying to find fault in situations like this is normal. Although I dont agree with it. As a diver, I accept certain risks...all risks. If something happens in the water its most likely my own fault. The chance of the guage being off is slim and none. Its MUCH more likely that she didnt pay attention to it and ran out of air.

Also, unless she was an extremely seasoned diver (hundreds of dives every year, not 200 dives in 20 years), and used to diving alone, she should have been close enough to her buddy to get air from them. She wasnt.

People make mistakes. Seems she and the buddy team did exactly that.

I feel for your sister and your family but from the information you provided, thats the way i see it.
