Tori and I both use SL-4's as our back-up lights (did have a brand new one flood last December - mail order place replaced it without question). For tank lights we use Pelican LED flashers along with Princeton 2 AA glow-in-the-dark cone lights...really easy to find each other in dark waters (no chemlights for us!). I still have my 7 year old trusty UK D4, but after Tori had 2 UK C-8's flood in the last 2 years, we've switched to Pelican LED Recoils (see earlier post for product review). Much brighter than the SL-4's and batteries last a lot longer.
