I like the color of the beam, no yellow cast. but they are $$$$$. With the Nikonos V I usually only use one strobe for macro and close up. I try to use the flashlight to illuminate shadow areas. Sometimes it works, sometims it doesn't. The extra light also is a good thing with K25 - every bit of light helps. The Trek 2 has a really tight beam - sometimes excessive illumination of the background is undesirable. I don't mount it anywhere, I hand hold it so I can point it where ever I want.
