Nice place, but up hill from town. They do offer a golf cart shuttle, but it's a hassle. For "diver friendly" go for the Atwater or Pavilion - on the flat, in town. Both have luggage service from the Express terminal and large gear storage rooms.

For real cheap and convenient, the Hermosa Hotel is funky.

We bring two-wheeled dollies for our gear (the Express won't take four wheel carts). It makes schlepping the gear back and forth to the point much easier.
