Trip Openings July 30 - 31, 2005

Pacific Star out of Redondo

July 30-31, Two day trip. San Clemente Island/Catalina Island

Depart King Harbor at 12:00am (Fri midnight); return by 4:00pm (Sun). $295 all inclusive food and air fills; Nitrox available at additional charge

Depending on Conditions: Dive Saturday at San Clemente Island. San Clemente Island is known for it's great diversity, from the walls at Little Flower, to the caverns at Swiss Cheese, and purple hydrocoral at Castle Rock. The front side of San Clemente is home to consistently good water clarity, and as the southernmost Channel Island, water temps are usually warmer. Next, you’ll probably wake up on Sunday at Catalina’s backside where the dive day starts on Farnsworth Banks. Farnsworth Banks is a pinnacle system which ranges from 60-130’ deep and home to the rare Allopora californica or Purple Hydrocoral. About 2 miles offshore, the visibility here often exceeds 80’. Many agree that this is one of the best dives in So Calif.
