Another victim of a derelict fishing net. I wonder how many are floating around out there drowning whales, dolphins, orcas, sea turtles, and pinnipeds as I write this. I hate the fishing industry. Is there not some sort of international law that says you must dispose of the nets properly? I know they don't care about by-catch but don't they know they are killing off their future "prey items" every time they abandon one of those things at sea? Maybe now that some humans have been ensnared underwater some pressure might be brought to bear on the companies that abandon nets as a matter of course.
