Yeah I agree this is very abnormal for a cat. Presently I have 8 cats. Every cat I ever saw hated water except one. It was given a daily bath from birth. Still he didn't care for it, but at least he didn't make you bleed.

I had a snow white Persian cat. That fell into a 5 gallon bucket of dark brown enamel. When I was done. He was snow white again. I was just a bloody mess.

My friend's wife had a dog. You could throw a rock weighing several pounds into 20 ft of water. The dog would dive in and come up with it. I once watched him on scuba. You could throw the rock into a pile of rocks. The dog would pick out the same stone. I was tempted to stash the stone in my BC, but I didn't want to be cruel. You never have a camera when you really need one.
