Ikelite strobes are good strobes. They do have a history of needing to visit the repair shop more frequently than other strobes. Their repair department gets excellent reviews for speed and service. I like Sea and Sea strobes, solid as rocks. I only use film so I don't know how they do with the equipment that you are buying. Chris likes inon strobes You are eventually going to need two strobes anyway. There is no law that says they have to match, and sometimes using two with different GN's can be a good thing. Lots of people like having a matched set, and it is mostly personal preference.
