Black spots in tanks=actived charcoal from the filters. If there is going to be a Kboom it's going to come from the value and not from the inside of the tank. The value is where the adiabatic compression takes place when filling. And that why you need to fill vary, vary slow.
O2 is not dangerous to work with, you just need to have a clue.
All whips should have check values.
I'm sure that Ken knows all of this, he knows everything, just ask him.
