I've seen Lobster at San Carlos Beach on the Breakwater in Monterey.

On August 12, 2000. This is what I wrote in my logbook: "It was my first night dive and we saw two lobster--one had eggs."

I was a newbie then and didn't think it was that unusual. I was told later that it was extremely uncommon to see lobster that far north.
