I can only speak for E.Robinson's outfit, but they send a divemaster with every group - for their 3-tank advanced dives to Molokini, as well as their two-tank Lanai Cathedrals trip. You can hang with the divemaster until their or your air goes; if your air goes first you may have to surface on your own. And all the E.Robinson divemasters I met were top-class guys and gals.
