On the Mr. C last Saturday at Catalina, just west of Black Rock on the first dive I saw this Leapord Shark. First I saw him in the distance in the thicker, darker part of the kelp. My camera was set to way under expose from the last shots I was taking in a brighter area. Oh well, I snapped anyway and got a picture of his tail, in the distance. Then he doubled back and came right back at me, I snapped again but it was hopelessly underexposed. Then, he swam right up into my face point blank, teeth and all. But did I snap that one? No. I tried to adjust my exposure and spooked him the moment I went to fiddle with the buttons. He was gone instantly. I tried to rescue the shot but it's kind of a lost cause.

This is my salvage job.

This is the before.
