In my experience acceptable prints can be half that. Thus a 35mm slide can be blown to (35 x 4000/150)= 933 mm or 36 inches to get "acceptable quality). 11 x 17 for good quality as for digital. a 6 MP camers (2 x 3example) might give a 20 inch max acceptable print. 8 x 10 for good quality. and it goes as the square rememeber. a good quality 16 x 20 print requires 36 (6x6) megapixels (100MB) of information for acceptable quality prints I go here http://www.adoramapix.com/?sid=11254410562388927
http://www.psprint.com/printing_products/calendar_printing.asp I as well as Chris scan at 16 bit, do some manipulation, and drop it down to 8. I no longer see the need to actually send a slide or neg to a printer all done electronically. youll need a broadband connection kd
