Last May 13, a Friday, I slipped on some intertidal rocks at Catalina Two Harbors wearing rubber boat shoes and smashed my right Achilles tendon. An operation on May 20th reconnected the tendon to my heel with a steel pin. It's now 4 months later and I still can't rise up on my right toes, still prohibited from driving, sailing my boat, or, most importantly...NO DIVING! Remember the saying: I cried because I had no shoes until I met a man who had no feet?
Let us whine no more. Feel better?
